Our church is available to make your wedding extra special

Getting Married in Church

The minister will be happy to discuss your wedding arrangements.
If you are a member of Broughty Ferry New Kirk, or if you live within its parish, you are welcome to be married in our church.
If you are not a member and you live elsewhere you may still be married here with the permission of your own parish minister. Speak to our minister first.

Weddings and Church Membership

You do not have to be a church member to be married in church. However, a church wedding is an act of Christian worship. If you are happy with that, then perhaps you might like to explore what it means to be a church member. The minister will be happy to discuss this with you. Whatever you decide about church membership, if you come to church regularly beforehand you will feel much more relaxed and at home during your wedding.

Help and Advice

Although we do not hold formal Marriage Preparation classes, the minister is available to talk over any aspect of your relationship, before and after your wedding.

Wedding Fees

There is no fee for the services of the minister.
However, there is usually a fee for the organist and the church officer, as well as a fee for the use of the church building. The minister will discuss any fees with you.
